Callum Crawford has joined HonuWorx as Head of Programmes, a new role created to lead programme delivery across the business, including the recently awarded NATO DIANA R&D programme for Defence Research and Development Canada.
HonuWorx is delivering for customers across a growing portfolio of programmes, with Callum joining to co-ordinate and lead that work. The DRDC programme, awarded in April 2026 as the first contract through NATO DIANA's Rapid Adoption Service on behalf of any NATO Ally, is already underway and one of the key priorities.
As Head of Programmes, Callum will be responsible for coordinating and integrating delivery activities across the business, spanning research and development, customer-funded projects, system integration, demonstrations and operational trials. He will work closely with engineering, software and commercial teams to ensure programmes are delivered effectively while maintaining focus on customer requirements and HonuWorx's growth.
With a background spanning product design, motorsport and defence, Callum knows how to deliver complex programmes in demanding environments, most recently as Head of Innovation at James Fisher Defence. He brings the kind of thinking and experience required to deliver autonomous subsea systems across critical defence, security and energy applications.
“As HonuWorx continues to scale, the ability to coordinate complex multidisciplinary programmes while maintaining focus on delivery becomes increasingly important. Callum brings a strong combination of engineering, product and programme leadership and we're delighted to have him onboard."
Lee Wilson, CEO, HonuWorx
"HonuWorx has built something genuinely different: a system that removes the surface vessel from the operating model entirely. I'm excited to join the team at this stage of the company's growth and look forward to delivering the next phase of development and building the operational foundations to do more at scale."

The DRDC programme, which includes development of a high-fidelity simulation suite, is the first of a growing pipeline driven by allied defence requirements. Callum joins as HonuWorx builds the programme discipline, operational routines and field readiness needed to deliver at scale.
